Are you a hardworking individual looking for a rewarding career in the HVAC industry? Heartland Heating & Cooling in Grimes, IA, is seeking a motivated HVAC Replacement Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation department, you will be responsible for replacing and installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our valued customers.

Pay: $30-35 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Remove and replace (swap out) old HVAC systems

• Install new heating and set cooling units

• Perform quality checks to ensure systems are functioning properly

• Collaborate with team members to complete installations on time

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in HVAC installation as a lead installer

• Needs to be proficient in braising and refrigerant

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• EPA certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to walk, balance, stoop, squat, bend, climb, reach above head, crawl, talk, hear, and drive company vehicles

• Physical stamina required for long-term overhead HVAC work

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs overhead several times a week (assistance available for lifting more than 75 lbs)

• Comfort working in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces and attics) for extended periods

• Ability to work extended hours or long workdays

• Careful and safe work habits (e.g., squatting, bending, using ladders, stair safety)

• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Comfort working with powered construction tools (e.g., electric snips, sawzall, drills)

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

• Exposure to various weather conditions, including inclement weather, extreme temperatures, and humidity

• Occasional exposure to loud noise levels
